Supporting the customer in relocating its pre-production tools to a new supplier. A particular challenge was that the customer had almost no information about the existing tools. Covalex then used its expertise to create detailed tool and process data sheets, which enabled simple start-up and adaptation at the future supplier.
In addition, the customer was supported during plant start-up, optimisation and acceptance. In addition to extensive static analyses of the sub-processes (evaluation of almost 10,000 individual measured values using Six Sigma methods), the system availability and extensive cycle time studies and optimisations were also carried out.
As part of a make or buy process, the customer was also supported in the introduction of new suitable suppliers for a specific product.
